Recapping 2015: The Travel Statistics

Since 2014 it has been an ongoing goal of mine to make each year that follows full of more travel than the year before. In 2014 the furthest I travelled was going to Paris, Bratislava and Vienna. I also visited a couple of English cities but 2015 came with a whole new level of travel.

Below are the Travel Statistics (based on different currencies used – including my native, although must have been used in a different place away from home,ย different places – including cities, towns and villages (away from my home country), flights and countries!)

Finally I have added a map of new airports visited…because ya, know, aviation geek.

  • 3 Different Currencies – GBP, USD and EUR
  • 10 New Places –
    • Edinburgh
    • North Queensferry (village in Fife)
    • Brighton
    • New York City
    • Nottingham
    • Sheffield
    • Glasgow
    • Ayr
    • Porto
    • Lisbon
  • 3 New Countries – Scotland, America and Portugal
  • 9 Flights – 1) Belfast – Edinburgh, 2) Gatwick – Belfast, 3) Dublin – JFK, 4) JFK – Dublin, 5) Belfast – London City, 6) East Midlands – Belfast, 7) Dublin – Porto, 8) Porto – Lisbon, 9) Lisbon – Dublin.

Thank you Keisha. I think it puts travel into perspective. More to come this year hopefully. Are you off anywhere nice?

      1. I just returned from a trip to Southeast Asia, so I’m staying put for a little bit. ๐Ÿ™‚

That sounds exciting! My sister over at Lifeinarucksack.com travelled around SE Asia last year so you may have a lot in common. I was reading your blog actually – your photos of each place is stunning!

      3. Thanks! I’ll have to check out your sister’s blog (how cool that you both have one!).
